We are looking for a motivated VP of IT Operations to plan, direct, coordinate, and oversee IT operations activities in the organization, ensuring development and implementation of efficient IT operations and cost-effective systems to meet current and future needs of the organization. A good VP of IT Operations has an innovative mindset, which motivates them to come up with unique solutions to operational deficiencies, budgeting limitations, or employee complaints. Salary Range is $180,000 to $200,000 per annum

Your Responsibilities

  • leading the Application Support team and all ITIL processes, Incident, Problem, Change management.
  • Ensuring our IT systems are monitored 24x7 and ensuring budgets tracking is current and reviewing upcoming deadlines for IT projects.
  • Meet with the CIO and their leadership team to make presentations on IT initiatives and participate in strategic planning.
  • Once back in their office, the VP of IT Operations reviews data from each department to determine whether departments meet goals or quotas.
  • They use their downtime to interact with IT employees and talk with IT Department Managers about changes to current IT operations.
  • The ideal candidate should be dedicated to their IT organization and strives to support the CIO’s vision through their daily tasks.
  • They understand how to be both Leaders and supporters, which allows them to fulfill their respective roles to Executive Leader and lower-level personnel.
  • Work closely with CIO and lower-level management to ensure that the employees have a clear understanding of the IT organization’s values and goals.
  • Their job is to oversee department budgets, communicate with Business personnel when necessary and perform tasks on behalf of upper management.
  • Provide leadership to department heads in a fashion that supports the company’s culture, mission and values.
  • Direct activities so that products are supported on schedule and within quality standards and cost objectives and meet market demands.
  • Oversee all software release activities in accordance with existing approved policies and procedures, ensuring launches go well.
  • Evaluate new headcount, hiring, and employee performance and manages department vendors and related contracts.

Build and Lead all Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes, Build and Implement IT metrics and reporting and Tracking IT Budgets (Cost Optimization).

Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

  • 10 to 15 years of managerial experience with 5+ Years in leading IT Operational teams, IT Operations and will run all day-to-day IT Operations of Infrastructure.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of related experience.
  • Proven strategic planning and budgeting experience and demonstrated experience in setting, monitoring, and meeting quarterly and annual goals.
  • Must have Problem-solving skills, an entrepreneurial spirit, and familiarity with ITIL Framework.
  • Familiarity with Development lifecycle a plus15+ years of Infrastructure technology experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and law and Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Complete employee performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback to staff and ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a highly demanding environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others and demonstrated problem solving, analysis, and resolution at strategic and functional levels.
  • Skilled using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Detail oriented with the ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Willingness to be part of a team-unit and cooperate in the accomplishment of departmental goals and objectives.
