Jet Edge is currently seeking to hire a Duty Manager for its Columbus, OH location. The Duty Manager is responsible for the integrity and efficiency of operations and will report to the Director of Operations. The position is tasked with ensuring all operational support departments are effectively and efficiently carrying out their respective duties.


The ideal candidate for this position will be a solutions-driven leader with strong decision-making capabilities along with a history of performance for leading large teams within fast-paced and dynamic environments.  We are seeking someone with the ability to give clear directions with an appreciation and understanding of the importance of stellar customer service.


Duty Manager Responsibilities:

  • Oversee shift activities, including the coordination and monitoring of all functions to ensure work is being performed in a consistent manner by the Operations Control Center (OCC), the tactical desk, and Maintenance Operations for (MOC), Travel, and other Flight Support functions.
  • Ensure Operator’s activities are conducted according to the provisions of international and national regulations.
  • Ensure the fleet is commercially optimized in conjunction with Revenue Management (as applicable).
  • Ensure efficient and effective processes and procedures are adapted and implemented
  • Maintain oversight of operational security ensuring risks to crew, customers and company assets are mitigated and addressed.
  • Provide direction and instruction on resolving critical incidences/situations, operational activities, security-related activity, security breaches, and violations of rules and regulations, etc.



  • 2+ Years' experience of leading/coaching/developing large teams in a fast-paced and demanding environment
  • Aviation/OCC experience 
  • Proven success in a key management/supervisory role
  • Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions under pressure
  • Excellent people and communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and time management skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills with advanced verbal and written communication skills; at ease with communicating at all levels of an organization
  • Ability to overcome obstacles, proactively manage expectations and relationships, provide innovative ideas, and solutions.


Preferred Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Large team leadership skills, exceptional problem-solving skills, advanced customer service skills
  • Knowledge of weather theory, charts, and reports in the METeorological Aerodrome Report (METAR) format including Terminal Area Forecast (TAF's) and Notice to Airmen (NOTAMs)
  • Dispatch experience – Certificate preferred
  • Pilot’s License
  • Knowledge of Part 135 Regulations
